Frequently asked questions

Metro East junk removal questions

How much does Metro East junk removal cost?
Hauling is priced by how much of the truck your load fills, plus access and disposal. Published figures vary widely — homeowners on r/Langley report $389 for a quarter truck and $150 for a half truck, and one poster on r/Calgary collected three quotes on the identical job at $612, $760 and over $1,000. Those are figures other people report paying, not our rate. We quote your job from a description and photos, and the scope is agreed before anything is loaded. The cost guide walks through what actually drives the number.
Do I have to move anything to the curb first?
No. We carry it out. Most people who contact us cannot move the item themselves — a seven-foot couch, a basement water heater, a sleeper sofa with a steel frame. You point at what goes and we do the lifting, including stairs and tight turns.
Will the price change once the truck arrives?
We confirm scope and price before anything is loaded, so you are never deciding under pressure with a crew already standing in your driveway. If what we find is materially different from what was described, we re-quote and you decide — nothing is charged until the scope is agreed.
What will Metro East junk removal not take?
Hazardous material is the main exclusion: wet paint, solvents and chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks, ammunition, and medical or biohazard waste. Appliances containing refrigerant — refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners — need refrigerant recovery and are handled separately. Tires and electronics usually carry a per-item disposal fee. The full list is in what we will and will not take.
Which Metro East, IL towns do you serve?
Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, O'Fallon, Shiloh, Belleville, Fairview Heights, Collinsville, Troy and Alton — the Metro East corridor on the Illinois side.
